How To Get Around
Singapore is world-renouned for its efficient and affordable public transport. The best and quickest method of transport is by Taxi, as they are easily flagged down on the street and charge via the meter at the front. They are affordable - far cheaper than taxis in Australia ;)

If you want to travel even more cheaply or like many locals do, try the MRT. This ultra-efficient air conditioned train arrives every few minutes and train stations are all over Singapore. Please see here for the MRT station map. You can also calculate your fare, which runs between SG$1.00 - $2.00

Weather in Singapore
A tropical country located just 1° north of the equator, Singapore is notorious for it's hot and humid weather all year round. Temperature ranges between 24 - 30 °C in August, and you can keep up to date via the Weather Report.

What To Bring
Come prepared for the heat and humidity of Singapore by packing thin, light clothes. Tank tops, shorts, slacks, skirts should consist of most of your luggage. A few other things that you should include in your luggage:
  • sunglasses
  • sunblock
  • umbrella
  • swimsuit
  • walking shoes
  • camera
